Welcome to the Scientists in Parks Fellows Application Platform!

You may apply to up to three of the Scientists in Parks Fellows Summer 2022 projects. If you have not done so already, please visit the 2022 Available Projects and make sure you have read the project descriptions thoroughly to ensure you meet the qualifications listed for the project to which you are applying. 

The Application Period will close on January 23, 2022

Please Note: Each project will close after receiving the first 100 applicants. If you are interested in applying to a certain park, it is advised that you do not wait until the application deadline (1/23/21) because the position may be closed before the deadline date.

Eligibility Requirements for SIP Fellows:

To be eligible for SIP Fellow Program, applicants must be:

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when a SIP Fellow. View our Covid-19 Policy for details.

  • U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident

  • Enrolled as an upper-level undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate (Masters or PhD) student that will not graduate prior to finishing your position (check each project description to determine the estimated dates of completion)

OR

  • Applicant has already earned their undergraduate degree and is not currently enrolled, but has applied to attend graduate school beginning Fall 2022*

* In the event that you are selected for a position, proof of acceptance in the form of enrollment into a graduate program for Fall 2022 will be required before the position is awarded.

Applications will be accepted through January 23rd, 2022. Applications without references will be accepted, but letters of recommendations are suggested and highly encouraged. Please make sure that your references submit their letters on or before January 31st 2022.
